I believe in starting exactly where you are, with whatever is going on for you today. I approach wellness through the lens of long-lasting lifestyle change with a focus on emotional wellbeing. Each person has the capacity to feel incrementally better than they do today.
In my practice and experience I have worked in integrative settings within Western medicine, addiction, mental health, and women’s health. With a background in Exercise Science & Nutrition and a Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I know the incredible opportunity for healing when all aspects of the individual are addressed.
In my work as the Director of Integrative Medicine in a dual diagnosis clinic that focuses on mental health and addiction, it was even more apparent that trauma and chronic stress create dysregulation in the nervous system and overwhelm the person’s ability to cope. I found the bodywork of acupuncture to be very effective in creating awareness, support and release on an emotional and physical level as well as intellectual.
As a medical model, Chinese Medicine has a lot to offer. Acupuncture has been around for thousands of years and the possibilities for integrating this powerful modality into everyday healing are endless.
My practice allows for time to dive deeper and ask the questions that might get left out during routine office visits, addressing all contributing aspects of your life beyond physical symptoms.
